Listening

Did you know?

That when you listen to a person and after they are finished speaking you can paraphrase what they said.

And you can ask…

Is that about right?

They’ll agree or clarify a point or two.

And then tell them.

Good. I can see you a little better now.

Their face will soften, their shoulders will drop and the intensity of the moment will have past.

We have so much to say because we fear that no one is listening.

Agreement is not required but listening should be.
